Anybody stuck in front of a TV over Labor Day weekend knows all about Jerry Lewis's role in the Muscular Dystrophy Association telethon. But there is much more to Jerry than the televised fundraiser, he'll have you know. Turns out that for the other 51 weekends of the year, the 78-year-old "is a professional performer...separate and aside from the work he does for the Muscular Dystrophy Association," according to his concert rider. In fact, any reference to the MDA in material used to promote a Lewis appearance will result in the gig's cancellation. Additionally, Lewis's rider goes one step further, warning promoters that, "Local MDA staff and local MDA supporters may approach you meaning well, hoping to do good--please show them this disclaimer."
